"We are a small dense ball of energy, moving in a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness looking at ourselves subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves."
- Bill Hicks.
Human nature is the concept that there is a set of unique characteristics, including the ways of thinking, feeling and acting, that humans tend to have.
We are all created with free will and the desire to have our own opinions. By this we each become individual and express a variety of out looks in life. I feel it is essential to express our thoughts even if these can be shunned by others. The work I create covers a variety of different subject matters, from life and loss, to topics that can be seen as controversial, such as drug abuse.
By creating work that allows the audience or viewer to become involved and question the piece means that they themselves become part of the work. They interact with the piece and therefore begin to become more intrigued by the intentions behind the work. Allowing the audience to take time to think about the work they see before them, I feel is important.
