'Untitled', 2010. Greestone Gallery.

Some of my rencent work explores the concept of loss within three generations. The work is seen over three layers of perspex sheeting and show the various objects of loss over the three generations of a family. Below are a few images of my piece in the Greestone Gallery.

Loss with the moulds...

By smashing the moulds i have created this is destroying the whole process, the long and detailed process of casting my mould, slumping the glass, cleaning the plaster out of the slump after and then eventually smashing this piece. Does this show the right concept?

The concept of my current work?!

How can i portray the concept of loss in my current work?! Working with the process of glass slumping itself is almost securing that idea? Building a plater mould, slumping the glass, and then taking the broken, crumbled cast out.....
I need to create my moulds and using gelflex create another mould so i can keep creating the same cast, then i can experiment from here!!!
